Mobile Plant Fitter – Crushers & Screeners Location: South West – regional travel within an 80-mile radius
Salary: £25.00 per hour
Hours: 07:30 – 18:00, Monday to Friday + every other Saturday (optional)
Contract: 40 hours per week + overtime (first 10 hours paid at basic rate)

Elite Consultancy Network is recruiting an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter with a strong crusher and screener background to support a leading earthworks and crushing operation in the South West.
This is a mobile, field-based role focused heavily on the maintenance, servicing, and repair of mobile crushers and screeners, including jaw and cone machines, across multiple operational sites.
The Role As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for keeping a fleet of crushers and screeners operating safely and efficiently. You’ll work independently across regional sites, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and ensuring maximum uptime of critical crushing and screening equipment.
This role is ideal for a fitter who specialises in crushers, screeners, and heavy plant, and enjoys working autonomously in a mobile environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair mobile crushers and screeners (jaw and cone types)
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on crushing and screening plant
• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs on site
• Ensure crushers and screeners meet safety, operational, and compliance standards
• Accurately complete service reports and maintenance documentation
• Work independently across customer sites within the region

What We’re Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance (Level 2 considered with strong crusher/screener experience)
• Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter working on crushers and screeners
• Strong understanding of jaw crushers, cone crushers, and screening equipment
• OEM or dealership background beneficial (Terex experience advantageous)
• Good all-round plant engineering knowledge
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel regionally and work every other Saturday
