Qualified Social Worker – Learning Disabilities
📍 Location: West Yorkshire
💷 Pay Rate: £30 per hour

Are you a compassionate and experienced Qualified Social Worker with a passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities? We’re looking for a dedicated professional to join a collaborative and forward-thinking Adult Services Learning Disabilities Team in West Yorkshire.  This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives, working in a multi-agency environment that puts individuals and their families at the heart of everything we do.

The Role

As a Social Worker in this specialist team, you will:
  • Manage a varied caseload, acting as the named worker for adults with complex needs
  • Undertake strength-based assessments and develop personalised care plans
  • Safeguard adults at risk, intervening with legal and procedural authority when necessary
  • Collaborate with professionals across health, therapy services, and external care providers
  • Help people live as independently as possible while supporting their rights, dignity, and choices
  • Provide guidance to unqualified staff and students as part of a supportive team environment
You will be working in a service that values innovation, independence, and community-based support, with access to experienced colleagues who are committed to professional development and high standards of practice.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings empathy, resilience, and professionalism to their work.
To be considered, you must have:
  • A recognised Social Work qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • 4+ years of post-qualified experience in adult services (including learning disabilities)
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and relevant adult social care legislation
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and planning skills
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary settings
  • A commitment to promoting independence, inclusion, and person-centred care
