Are you a passionate and experienced Social Worker looking to make a real impact in adult social care? We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established local authority in Tameside, seeking a dedicated professional to join their South Integrated Care & Support Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, delivering high-quality care to adults with a wide range of support needs. The team takes a strengths-based, person-centred approach, promoting independence, safeguarding wellbeing, and supporting people to live safely and with dignity in their communities.

🌍 About the Role
As part of the South Integrated Care & Support Team, you’ll work collaboratively with health professionals, community partners, and other agencies to provide holistic and proactive care to adults in the Tameside area.
You’ll manage a varied caseload and play a key role in:

Carrying out Care Act assessments
Completing Mental Capacity Assessments
Leading and coordinating safeguarding enquiries
Supporting individuals with complex needs to access the right care and support
Participating in the team’s duty rota and screening incoming referrals
Promoting independence and wellbeing through creative, outcomes-focused interventions

You will be supported by a strong management structure, regular 1:1 supervision, and opportunities for ongoing professional development within a forward-thinking, supportive local authority.

✅ About You
We’re looking for someone who brings professional expertise, compassion, and a strong understanding of legislation and best practice in adult social care.
You must have:

A recognised Social Work qualification (SW Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)
Registration with Social Work England
Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience (4+ years preferred)
Sound working knowledge of key legislation, including:
- Care Act 2014
- Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Mental Health Act
- Human Rights Act
Confidence managing complex cases, safeguarding, and capacity-related work
Strong partnership-working skills and a commitment to multi-agency collaboration
A reflective, innovative, and solution-focused approach
