Salary: PAYE: £13.69 per hour | Umbrella: £17.21 per hour

Are you an organised and enthusiastic individual with a knack for administration? NRW People is delighted to offer an exciting temporary Business Support Assistant role with Torfaen County Borough Council, based at Wesley Street in Cwmbran. Starting27 October 2025, this 9-week position covers a secondment, offering a perfect opportunity to shine in a supportive team environment.What You’ll Do:
  • Provide top-notch administrative and business support, ensuring efficient service delivery for the Children & Family Hub.
  • Manage customer queries, process invoices, update databases, and prepare accurate meeting minutes and reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain records, handle referrals, and support petty cash/mileage claims with precision.
  • Assist the Team Leader in meeting deadlines, contributing to service improvements, and delivering excellent customer care.
  • Work 4 days a week in-office (schedule negotiable), immersing yourself in a vibrant administrative hub.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A proactive candidate with NVQ Level 3 in Administration, Business, or IT (or 6+ months equivalent experience) and strong IT skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and customer care skills, with experience using information databases.
  • Ability to work 30 hours/week (7.5 hours/day) across 4 days, with flexibility to travel around Torfaen if needed.
  • Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Cwmbran, Torfaen.
Essential Requirements:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Criminal Convictions Declaration (to be submitted with application).

  • 2 years of references/work history (to be submitted with application).
