Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Contracts, Commissioning and Placements Officer to work in a Team in Bury.
 
Bury Council Childrens Commissioning Team have an opportunity for the right candidate to join us in the role of Placement Finding and Brokerage Officer to cover maternity leave.
The primary focus of this role is to find and secure placements and support services for children and young people who need our care and support. You will need to identify services to meet the needs and outcomes of the child which is high quality, best value for money and available when a child needs it.
You will need to build good working relationships with a range of professionals both inside and outside the Local Authority, including care providers, social care, education and health. You will work with professionals to understand the needs of the child and ensure that referrals are strengths based so that targeted searches can be completed to meet their needs and outcomes.
You will be pro-active, well-organised and be able to work with initiative in our busy team. You will need to have a flexible approach and the ability to sometimes work within short deadlines and find placements quickly will be needed.
Experience in a similar role/environment is preferred, however applications that demonstrate transferrable skills and knowledge will be considered.
The role is hybrid based at 3 Knowsley Place in supporting agile working. The position will require some working in the office to meet the needs of the service which will be at least 2 days per week.
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week.
