Our client in Hertfordshire is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate SENDIAS Advisor to join their dynamic team and support the delivery of impartial, confidential, and accurate advice under the SEND Code of Practice.

Our client in Hertfordshire is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate SENDIAS Advisor to join their dynamic team and support the delivery of impartial, confidential, and accurate advice under the SEND Code of Practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality information, advice, and support to parents, carers, and young people regarding SEND processes, including EHCPs, mediation, and tribunals.
- Ensure that service users understand their rights and are empowered to make informed decisions.
- Work in partnership with schools, the local authority, and other services to support positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
- Keep accurate case notes, manage a personal caseload, and meet service deadlines.
- Stay current with SEND legislation, statutory guidance, and local policies.
- Experience working within SENDIAS or a similar advice/support service.
- In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and work flexibly.
- Experience supporting families through EHCP applications, reviews, appeals, and tribunals.
- Knowledge of local services and support available in Hertfordshire.
