Occupational Therapy Assistant – Enablement Team
Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire Council
Rate: £21.00 per hour
Working pattern: Hybrid – Community-based visits, office, and home working

Job Purpose Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of Hertfordshire Council for an experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the Enablement Team in Hemel Hempstead.
You will work under the direction of qualified Occupational Therapists, supporting service users to achieve independence and improve their quality of life through therapy-based interventions and activities of daily living.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy plans designed by qualified Occupational Therapists.
• Support individuals in their homes and community settings to develop or regain daily living skills.
• Manage a small caseload (minimum of 2 new cases per week) with interventions lasting up to 12 weeks.
• Record progress and report outcomes to supervising Occupational Therapists.
• Carry out community visits and work flexibly between the office, home, and community as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting therapy or care plans in a community or social care setting.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
• Excellent communication, empathy, and organisational skills.
