The school offers a nurturing, multidisciplinary environment where education, therapy, and wellbeing are fully integrated.
The Role
As a Speech & Language Support Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with Speech & Language Therapists, SEN teachers, and pastoral staff to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. Your role will be vital in helping pupils develop their communication, interaction, and confidence.
Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting classroom learning through communication-friendly strategies
- Promoting social communication, emotional regulation, and independence

This role is particularly well suited to candidates who are aspiring Speech & Language Therapists or SEN professionals.
We are keen to hear from candidates who have:
- A genuine interest in speech, language, and communication needs
- Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, or voluntary)
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A relevant degree (e.g. Linguistics, Psychology, Childhood Studies, SEN) – desirable but not essential
- Valuable hands-on experience within a therapeutic SEN setting
- Ongoing agency support and guidance
- Competitive daily rates
- Opportunities for long-term and permanent placement
- Ideal preparation for further training in Speech & Language Therapy or SEN education
All applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS checks, referencing, and safeguarding procedures in line with statutory guidance.
If you are passionate about supporting children with communication needs and are looking to take your first step towards a career in speech and language or SEN, we would love to hear from you.
