Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Ofsted registration process and ensure the homes meets all regulatory requirements from the outset.
Establish and maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children with EBD.
Recruit, train, and develop a strong, child-focused staff team.
Develop and implement care plans in line with individual needs and therapeutic approaches.
Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards.
Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead and promote a strong safeguarding culture.
Build strong working relationships with local authorities, external agencies, families, and the wider community.
Lead inspections and respond effectively to feedback from Ofsted and other governing bodies.
Provide inspirational leadership and clear direction to the care team

Essential Requirements:

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Minimum of 2-3 years' experience working within a children’s residential setting.
At least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role within a similar setting.
A strong understanding of EBD and the associated behavioural and emotional needs.

Proven track record of achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
Experience managing safeguarding concerns and complex cases.
Sound knowledge of the Ofsted framework and Children’s Homes Regulations
