Employment Solicitor / Legal Executive (with Practising Rights)

Are you an experienced Employment Solicitor or Legal Executive with practising rights? We are looking for a motivated professional to join a dynamic Employment team, managing a varied caseload and providing expert advice and representation to clients.

Location:

Pontypool – hybrid and flexible working options available.

What You’ll Do:

Manage a diverse caseload of employment law matters, including:
Unfair and wrongful dismissal claims
Discrimination and Equality Act issues
Redundancy, restructuring, and TUPE transfers
Employment Tribunal proceedings
Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements
Deliver clear, pragmatic advice to clients at every stage
Liaise with trade unions and maintain strong working relationships with union representatives
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards
Support, mentor, and develop junior team members
Represent the team at union conferences and networking events

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with practising rights (2+ years PQE)
Proven experience in employment litigation and advisory work
Excellent client care, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-performing team environment

Desirable:

Experience working with trade unions
Membership of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA)
